Eugene Railyard - Crawl Space TestingIf your home has not been tested, getting the DEQ or Union Pacific Railroad to do it is an uphill, if not impossible, battle. Some people have chosen to pursue testing on their own. Paying to have your home tested is an option, but you should be aware of a couple caveats:
The DEQ uses a company called Test America out of Portland. The person to talk to is Daryll Auvil (513-906-9261). You will need to specify you want to use the “EPA method TO-15-SIM” and that you’re testing for “TCE and PCE.” If you have any other questions, feel free to contact OTA or Greg Aitken at the DEQ (541-687-7361).
